What Are Micro Ring Hair Extensions?

Micro ring hair extensions (also known as micro loops) are a type of micro bonding hair extensions that does not require any sort of adhesive to attach to the natural hair. The micro rings come with a loop,that when pulled, force your natural hair into a ring that also contains several hair extension strands. With your natural hair and the extensions together in the ring, special pliers are used to flatten the ring which results in securing the attachment. The demand for Micro ring extensions are becoming increasingly popular with most ethnic groups. Once attached to the natural hair, it is smooth and undetectable, giving your head a perfect appearance.

How to Install Micro Ring Hair Extensions:

Micro ring bonding extensions are easier to attach than micro beads or keratin bonds. Micro rings or micro loops come with a large loop (approx.. 1 inch in diameter) through which your natural hair is placed. Upon pulling one end of the large loop, your natural hair is forced through a tiny micro ring which has strands of hair extensions already attached inside. Finally, using special pliers the metal ring is pressed to bind your natural hair with the hair extension strands. Micro ring hair extensions are very secure upon installation. Care should be taken not to pull at the hair extensions as this will place stress on your natural hair. Micro ring extensions work well with naturally straight hair. All hair products supplied by DDH has all cuticles intact, which are aligned in the same direction from root to tip, thereby reducing any chance of tangling and knotting.

Bundles required for a Full Head:

The number of bundles required will depend on the individual and their preference to volume and hair length. Each bundle of our micro ring extensions weighs about 20 gram. Micro ring bundles with longer hair lengths contain fewer strands than those with shorter hair lengths. All DDH brands of hair extensions will last for 2 years or more, depending on how well you maintain and take care of your extensions. Our customers typically have their hair extensions re-applied after 3 – 4 months, in order to maintain a neat and new look, while their own hair grows.
